The City of Trenton recently received the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) maps from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) which were effective as of February 2, 2012.

Federal law requires that a flood insurance policy be obtained as a condition of a federally-backed mortgage or loan that is secured by the building however everyone can have flood insurance.
