Bids & Proposals

The City of Trenton is part of the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) which utilizes BidNet™, a fully automated web-based bid management and vendor system. The system simplifies the bidding process for the City by creating a searchable online database of current bid opportunities in an easy to use and secure environment. The City of Trenton typically will post requests for bids or proposals on the MITN system and will identify the specific type of product or service the City requires.  Examples may be for concrete road construction, network cabling or janitorial services or to supply new manhole castings.  The MITN system requires vendors and contractors to register, then once online they are able to view bids/proposals for the City of Trenton and all the participating agencies/municipalities in the MITN system.

Bid/Submission Process

Contractors and vendors must download ALL documents associated with a specific request for bids. It is the vendor’s responsibility to obtain the most complete and current version of the bid documents issued as a result of any addenda.

Bids are due on/or before the due date shown in BidNet™ and in the advertisement posted by the City Clerk and must submit a hard copy of the bid on the form provided (where appropriate) to the Office of the City Clerk prior to the stated time for bid opening.    Each Bid or Proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope labeled with the project or commodity being bid as well as the bidder’s name, company and address, and addressed to the Office of the Trenton City Clerk, 2800 Third Street, Trenton, MI, 48183.  No on-line bids will be accepted.
